In the coming days TIB will add more buses to the intercity service, complementing the significant increase in service already implemented in early April. These include both new lines or high season lines coming into service, and the reinforcement of lines that are experiencing growing demand.
In the municipalities of Alcúdia and Pollença, from 1 May, lines 323 Alcúdia-Alcanada and 334 Alcúdia-Playa Formentor will start running. The line between Alcúdia and Alcanada beach will stop at the maritime station, thus establishing the connection between the TIB network and Menorca's boat services. For line 334, there are plans to extend the route to the Faro de Formentor lighthouse and increase service frequencies for the period when the road is closed from June to September. Line 321 will connect the towns of Pollença and Port de Pollença with Cala Sant Vicenç, increasing the connections between these towns with regard to the current situation. An additional departure is added to the 322 Pollença - Port d'Alcúdia line in order to have an arrival in Pollença before 8.00 am.
Two seasonal lines are starting to run in the south/east area. Saturday 29 April sees the start of line 521 between Cala d'Or and Cala Mondragó. Line 428 between Portocristo and Calas de Mallorca will be in service from 1 May and it is planned to extend the route to Cala d'Or during the month of May.
On the other hand, from Tuesday 2 May Algaida, Randa and Llucmajor will be connected with the new line 431d. This is an on-demand service that aims to meet the mobility needs of Randa residents so they can access basic services such as the health centre or municipal offices. The on-demand service operates with pre-established stops and schedules. Users have to book their trip the day before, before 6:00 pm by phone or email.
In the western area, lines 104 Magaluf - Palma and 102 Peguera - Palma have been stepped up to offer a bus every 15 minutes and every 30 minutes respectively. In addition, lines 122 Port d'Andratx - Santa Ponça and 123 Santa Ponça - Cas Català have standardised timetables from Monday to Sunday and increased the service frequency to one bus every 30/35 minutes. Line 123 incorporates a final service from Santa Ponça at 23.25.
