The Government creates a new TIB express line that will connect Cala d'Or with Palma as of Tuesday 24 June

With the new service, users in the Santanyí area will have a service to Palma without having to transfer between lines.

On Tuesday 24 June, the new TIB 515e intercity express bus line will come into service, linking Cala d'Or, Cala Egos, Portopetro, S'Alqueria Blanca and Santanyí with Palma. In this way, users from these towns will have semi-direct services that will reduce the current journey time to Palma, as it will not be necessary to change lines in Campos.

The new 515e Cala d'Or - Palma service will offer five journeys in each direction from Monday to Friday. Like the Cala Rajada express line (411e) which launched a fortnight ago, from next year the express services will be active from April to October.

The creation of the new express lines adds to the increase in service that has taken place in recent months on the TIB network. These improvements introduced by the Government to the TIB intercity bus service, are a result of the changes to the contracts of the three bus concessions in Mallorca, adapting the service to demand and the increase in users in recent years, 20% higher during 2024. These changes to the contracts have also allowed for the expansion of the bus fleet and the provision of all Aerotib lines from various towns and cities to the airport throughout the year.
