The shuttle bus to Es Trenc (L530 Sa Ràpita/Es Trenc beaches) will be launched on 1 July. Unlike in previous seasons, when the service ran from the Club Náutico in Sa Ràpita, this year the route will be between the new Sa Barralina car park and Ses Covetes.
This new service, available until 31 August, will run at 20-minute intervals in the morning between 10.00 and 13.40, and in the afternoon between 15.00 and 18.40. Two connecting services will also operate between Palma and the shuttle bus, with one outward trip (leaving Palma at 9.30) and one return trip (leaving Ses Covetes at 18.10).
Single tickets between Sa Barralina and Ses Covetes will cost €1.50 and the usual discounts will be available when using the intermodal card.
Besides this shuttle bus, the TIB network has been offering the line 505 service linking Santanyí with Cala s’Almunia and Cala Llombards since 1 June. The shuttle bus to Formentor Lighthouse has also been running since 15 June.
Shuttle buses are a sustainable transport alternative aimed at reducing heavy congestion in Mallorca’s natural areas during summer months. Managed by the Mallorca Transport Consortium for the Balearic Government Ministry of Land, Energy and Transport, the measure makes it easier for tourists and residents alike to visit areas of tourist interest on the island.
