The TIB bus network is extending its service as of Friday 2 May with the reactivation of several lines in the areas of Alcúdia and Llevant de Majorca, in addition to the increase in the intercity bus offer that has been applied since the beginning of April with the summer timetables coming into force.
Thus, in the north of the island, the Alcanada line will resume service with an extension of the route through Es Mal Pas and the Alcúdia line to Formentor beach; the service between Alcúdia, the Port and the beach will be reinforced with the new line 327. In the Llevant area, the Cala d'Or service is reactivated, which connects different towns along the coast up to Porto Cristo.
In Alcúdia, Line 323, which last year ran up to Alcanada via the Port, this year extends its route to reach Es Mal Pas. Thus, users in the area will be connected to the regular bus with an hourly service from 8.00 am, when the first service departs from Alcanada, until 9.30 pm, when the last service departs Es Mal Pas. The bus, which will run until the end of October, will have three stops in Alcanada, one at the maritime station, one in Alcúdia and the last one in Es Mal Pas. Also in this area, Line 334 Alcúdia - Formentor (beach) starts again this year and, in addition, the Alcúdia beach service is reinforced with the new Line 327 Alcúdia - Estany Petit with buses from 7.40 am to 11.25 pm.
On the Llevant coast, line 428, which connects Cala d'Or and Porto Cristo with stops at S'Horta, Portocolom, Cala Tropicana and Cales de Mallorca, will also be operating again on Friday, 2 May. The service in this area will be completed with Line 425, from Cala Bona to Porto Cristo, which is scheduled to start on the 16 May.
