The users of Banyalbufar, Estellencs, Andratx and Calvià will once again have a direct public transport connection with Line 131. The service will improve the mobility of the residents of these towns as it reduces travel times and allows for a more comfortable trip by eliminating the need to go to Palma to transfer between lines. In addition, the four airport lines are back in operation and will not stop for the rest of the year.
Line 131, which began on 1 April and will be operational until 31 October, runs through Santa Ponça, Peguera, Camp de Mar, Andratx, Estellencs, Banyalbufar and La Granja d'Esporles, with six journeys per day in each direction. The first departure from Santa Ponça is at 9.20 am and the last departure from La Granja at 8 pm. La Granja d'Esporles, a stop on the line, is a good starting or finishing point for the Camí des Correu excursion, traditionally done by riding the bus there and returning on foot (or vice versa). Users can travel by public transport all over the Serra, from north to south, with connections between lines 231 (between Port de Pollença and Sóller), 203 (between Port de Sóller and s'Esgleieta-Canet), 202 (between s'Esgleieta-Canet and Estellencs) and 131 (between Estellencs and Andratx).
The Aerotib service connects different towns with the airport. The Ponent area has the A11 line to travel from Camp de Mar, Peguera, Santa Ponça, Magaluf, Palmanova, Son Caliu, Costa d'en Blanes, Portals nous and Bendinat to the airport. Line A32, which starts in Can Picafort, connects towns such as Alcúdia, Sa Pobla and Inca with Son Sant Joan. The users of the Llevant coast (Cala Bona, Cala Millor, sa Coma, s'Illot and Porto Cristo), Manacor, Vilafranca, Montuïri and Algaida are connected with Line A42. And Line A51 connects Campos and Llucmajor with the airport.
The service runs from Monday to Sunday with extended opening hours from early morning, after 4 am, until the end of the day, around midnight. The frequency, depending on the line, is one bus every 45 minutes or every hour.
The airport service will now run all year round, with changes to the timetable and route from November onwards.
All the lines of the TIB network, including the ones to the airport, are now free if you travel with the Intemodal Card.
