From Tuesday 1st July, TIB line 123, which connects the towns of Cas Català and Santa Ponça via Bendinat, Portals Nous, Son Caliu, Palmanova, Magaluf, Son Ferrer, El Toro and Nova Santa Ponça, will change its route to include the area of Illetes. The goal of this modification is to improve the connection of the coastal areas of the municipality of Calvià.
The Majorcan Transport Consortium (CTM) modifies the route of the current line 123 and creates four new stops in the centre of Illetes.
The new route incorporates, in the direction of Cas Català, the stops Playas de Illetes 1 (c/ Arquitecto Francesc Cases) and Illetes 1 (c/ Archiduque). In the Santa Ponça direction, the Illetes 2 and Playas de Illetes 2 stops are added, which are located on the Illetes promenade. On the day the new route comes into service, line 123 will no longer serve the stops Ctra. Andratx - Avda. Mallorca 1 and 2, which will continue to be available for line 108, which connects Son Caliu, Costa d'en Blanes - Portals Nous, Portals Nous, Bendinat, Cas Català, Sant Agustí, Cala Major and Palma.
With this modification, the Majorcan Transport Consortium (CTM) responds to the request of the Calvià Town Council to facilitate public transport mobility for the users of the municipality.
The two institutions have carried out the required actions to set up the new stops that meet the appropriate conditions of accessibility and comfort for public transport users.
