The Majorcan Transport Consortium continues to work to improve conditions for users while they wait for the TIB bus. In this regard, two actions were carried out in October:
In Porreres it has moved the double stop at Ronda de la Estación to the junction with calle Rey Jaime I, with the installation of a canopy at the stop in the direction of Palma and an ischiatic support at the stop in the direction of Campos/Manacor/Felanitx. In addition, a raised pedestrian crossing has been built on the Ronda de la Estación, between the two stops, in order to allow safe crossing of the road and to reduce the speed of traffic in the area around the stop, something that had not been well resolved until now. This stop offers service on lines 403 Campos - Algaida - Palma, 417 Porreres - Manacor - Son Carrió and 514 Cala d'Or - Felanitx - Porreres.
Additionally , at the Pare Alcover 1 stop in Manacor, the existing stop pole has been replaced by a canopy. This stop hosts passengers travelling on lines 401 Cala Millor - Palma, 411 Manacor - Cala Rajada, 412 Manacor - Costa dels Pins, 416 Manacor - Calas de Mallorca - Cala Murada - Manacor , 417 Porreres - Manacor - Son Carrió and the 501 Manacor - Campos - Palma.
With these two new installations, 195 stops are now equipped with TIB corporate bus shelters, all of which are equipped with display cases, benches and/or ischiatic supports. This ensures that the user can wait for the bus comfortably and sheltered from the weather.
