How does it work
Card profiles
Balance top-up
The Tarjeta Única allows you to travel in Mallorca on TIB buses, SFM trains and metro, and EMT Palma buses. You simply need to keep it topped up; the balance never expires. Find out which card you should get in the Card Profiles section.
Entry and exit validation
On TIB buses, validate your card both when boarding and alighting. On the rail network, you must validate it to enter and exit stations. The cost of the journey you have made will be deducted. Important! If you do not remember to validate, a penalty of €0.30 will be applied.
On EMT Palma buses, you only need to validate your card when boarding.
Transfers
You can make 2 transfers when travelling on 3 different lines (bus, train or metro), provided that no more than 60 minutes elapse between the validation of departure on one line and the validation of entry on another. Good news! No matter how long your journey, you'll never pay for more than four transfers.
You can also transfer for free on EMT buses. You have 60 minutes to catch the next city bus after validating your ticket when you exit, and, in the case of the return journey (transferring from EMT to TIB), 90 minutes from the moment you validate your ticket when you enter.
Points System
The Tarjeta Única rewards your public transport loyalty. Thanks to the POINTS system, during the same calendar month, the price of each journey is cheaper than the price of the previous journey. See how the POINTS system works
